“Orig ba ito or Fake?”

FM does not sell fakes. You will never see another logo on our products. Only ours. We don’t pretend to be anything or anyone else. The packaging is FM, the ingredients are FM, the models and image campaign are all FM, and the names of our perfumes are FM numbers. The only reason you might think it’s “fake” is because our scents are all inspired by the top 100 perfumes in the world. But let us tell you- 85% of them are made by the same people who supply us with our ingredients in Europe. Fact #2 is that our perfume is graded higher. We do not sell Eau de Toilette. Gross. So if you’ve been settling for Eau de Toilette all your life and have been paying thousands for it, you can now give yourself an upgrade and pay only a few hundred. Inspiration vs Imitation. What’s the difference?

Imitations are products that are designed to *fool* people into thinking it is a brand name commodity when it is not- it is usually made of inferior products, and sold illegally. We call them bootlegs, or rip-offs. Here in the Philippines we call them “Greenhills Fakes” and even have grades for how closely the fake resembles the brand – “Class A” , “Class B” et cetera. In the case of perfumes, they usually spend a lot of effort mimicking the bottle and the box, but the scent is far off. These companies to not have access to the premium essenses and ingredients used in high-end designer perfumes.
Inspiration is another story. It is our story. We call all our products originals. We used existing brands as a starting point, but they are not 100% exactly the same. They just give the same feeling, or convey the same emotion when you smell it. We put it in our own box. We put our logo on it. But here’s the clincher: What is actually inside?
All our ingredients come from the DROM factory in Germany- the same place where a lot of premium brands are made. Most, if not all of the perfumes you know are made by other companies on their behalf, and DROM is one such company- a leader in their field for decades. We have access to the exact same base scents as these designer labels.

Furthermore, we have our own teams of experts working in PERFAND, Poland- creating and perfecting these 72 originals. The finished product is something that is actually higher in quality than the inspiration it was based on. Why?
Because of the fragrance’s concentration. You spend anywhere from PHP 3,000 to PHP 6,000 for 50mL of eau de toilette (8-15% perfume only). All our products are at least eau de parfum 15%- 25% perfume. We even have some luxury scents at 25%-40% parfum.
You get the same scents or better. You get it at higher quality. As if that wasn’t enough – you get it cheaper- with most of our products only costing PHP 690 (and our luxury line at PHP1100 to PHP1500).

How come it is so cheap?

Because it is distributed by everyday people. We don’t have to pay:
  • Millions to Celebrity Endorsers
  • Millions to Ad agencies
  • Millions to Television Networks
  • Millions to Malls and Department Stores for rent
We just give a big cut to our distributors. And they go run with it.. Many of them sign up as distributors but use the discount to buy perfumes for themselves with BIG savings. Either way the product is moving and everyone is happy.
